Plumbing and Pipe Trades Employees Union
Plumbing and Pipe Trades Employees Union – Melbourne – Australia
1969 - 1972
Designed by architect Graeme Gunn in the late 1960s and constructed by Merchant Builders, the Plumbers and Gasfitters Employees Union Building is one of Melbourne's finest examples of Brutalist architecture. Originally designed for extra floors to be added if needed, the building features classic brutalist trademarks such as off-form concrete, striking expressionistic forms and exceptionally unorthodox arrangement of voids and masses.
